Finishes

Every Grace & Grain table is finished by hand with Rubio Monocoat, a hardwax oil that soaks into the wood instead of sitting on top of it — so the grain stays touchable and the color develops from within. Below is our full color lineup. Because Rubio Monocoat is a true oil finish, the exact tone will always shift slightly depending on the wood species it's applied to — these swatches are a guide, not a guarantee. Want to see and feel it in person? Reach out through Custom Inquiries and we'll get physical samples in your hands.

For true-to-life color photos on real wood, see Rubio Monocoat's official color chart.

Pure

Nearly invisible — lets the wood's natural color speak for itself.

Natural

A warm, honeyed depth that enriches the grain without darkening it much.

White

A soft, whitewashed cast that cools the wood while keeping grain visible.

Smoke

A muted grey-brown haze — weathered and quiet.

Charcoal

Deep, cool grey with just enough warmth to avoid feeling flat.

Chocolate

Rich, dark brown with a velvety, low-sheen finish.

Castle Brown

A classic, saddle-leather brown — warm and traditional.

Ash Grey

A soft, driftwood grey with a hint of warmth underneath.

Walnut

Dark, chocolatey brown with a subtle purple undertone.

Black

Deep, near-black with the wood grain still faintly visible through it.

All finishes shown are food-safe, VOC-free, and applied by hand at our shop. Knots are always filled before finishing. Color swatches above are a digital approximation — actual results vary by wood species, grain, and lighting.
